The National Science Center's Fort Discovery offers a one-of-a-kind experience for meetings, receptions, company outings and special events. Located along the Riverwalk in Augusta, Fort Discovery provides a spectacular backdrop for your event.
Special Events & Meeting FacilitiesFort Discovery offers Exhibit Galleries, Classrooms, Conference Room, Power Station, and the Paul S. Simon Discovery Theater.
Exhibit Galleries:Upper and/or Lower Levels are available and accommodate up to 1,500 people on each level.
Classrooms:Multi-purpose facilities are available for presentations, meetings, and private gatherings.
Conference Room:Accommodates up to 12 people for meetings and presentations.
Paul S. Simon Discovery Theater:Stadium seating with full stage and accommodations for various presentations.
Facility Rental Dimensions, Capacities and Rates- Rates for the Galleries and Theater are based on a 3-hour minimum rental.
- Rates for the Classrooms are based on a 4-hour rental.
- Interpreters are included with the rental of the Upper and/or Lower Galleries to encourage guests to interact with the more than 250 interactive exhibits.
- Security is provided by Fort Discovery. In some instances, Richmond County may require the renter to use County Deputies and to hire Fire Marshals. Fees for the County Deputies and/or the Fire Marshals will be the responsibility of the renter.
